Ticketmaster’s terms of purchase

Ticketmaster Norway (Billettservice AS) sells tickets on behalf of many different promoters. By purchasing a ticket, you enter into two independent contracts: one contract with the promoter about the event and one contract with Ticketmaster about the ticket service. When you purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, at the same time you accept the promoter’s own terms for the purchase of tickets. If you wish to read the promoter’s terms, the promoter can send you the terms up on request. Right to refuse admission Promoters reserve the right to refuse admission to the venue, or to remove any person from the venue for reasons of public safety (including for crowd surfing or moshing, or failure to comply with any measures put in place to combat the spread of Covid-19), any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury, or for any breach of the Promoter's terms and conditions, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Ticketmaster Norway does their best to ensure your access to the desired event in the most effective, safe, and comfortable way. It is the promoters, and not Ticketmaster Norway, that determines what a ticket costs. It is also the promoter who decides how many seats there are available in each section, and it is the promoter alone who is responsible for the conduct and quality of the event. For more information, please read our order terms that are displayed below. If you have questions, please contact us. See information about customer service at the bottom of this page.

This Purchase Policy does not apply to purchases or sales of Resale Tickets. Please see our Resale Policy for the full terms and conditions applicable to purchasing and selling here.

Prices and availability

Ticketmaster Norway sells tickets on behalf of many different promoters. It is the promoter, and not Ticketmaster Norway, that determine what a ticket costs. It is also the promoter who decides the total number of seats available in total or per section. Tickets are sold through different channels, such as the internet, our call center and box offices. Ticketmaster Norway does not collaborate with third party ticket distributors such as Viagogo, etc..

All sales channels are using the same ticketing system, which means that popular events might be sold out within minutes. As the date of the event approaches, sometimes a limited number of extra tickets can be released. Ticketmaster Norway has no influence on that process.

Fees for our Ticketmaster Norway service

Ticketmaster Norway fees depend on the price of the tickets and the method of delivery choosen. Per order payment fees may apply depending on digital payment method used.

Cancelled or rescheduled events

Promoters reserve the right to reschedule or cancel events. In case of a rescheduled or cancelled event, Ticketmaster Norway refunds according to the promoter's guidelines. Costs (including service fees) regulated in the agreement between Ticketmaster and the ticket buyer are not refundable if the event is canceled or rescheduled. Tickets for rescheduled events remain valid, and can be used for the rescheduled date. For more information, contact us here.

Updated terms for purchases starting 6 March 2020.

Ticketmaster Norway’s obligations and the promoter’s obligations to the ticket purchaser in the Purchase terms, including also the promoter’s responsibility for execution of the event, including a ticket purchaser’s potential right to a refund and compensation/price discount, is void if the event is completely or partially affected by a Force Majeure event before or during the event (Force majeure means any cause beyond Ticketmaster Norway’s and/or the promoter’s control, which the promoter or Ticketmaster Norway could not reasonably have taken into consideration, avoided or overcome as a result of: war, insurrection, terrorism, a large outbreak of disease, fire, flood, strikes, weather, national security actions or instructions from national or local authorities.

Special provisions – festival line-up changes

In cases where the event is a festival consisting of various individual performances, the organizer notes that there may be changes in the festival program, including changes in which artists perform during the festival. Such changes may occur close to the event date and do not entitle you to repayment or cancellation of the ticket purchase. The organizer should endeavour to handle any changes in such a way that a full festival experience is still offered.

Refunds and changing tickets

Please make sure that you chose the right tickets before you confirm your purchase. Ticketmaster Norway cannot refund tickets on behalf of the promoter that have been purchased or issue exchanges for other tickets. If your ticket has been damaged in such a way that it can no longer be checked for its validity, please contact us. We will then send you information about what to do next.

If Ticketmaster Norway has any doubts about the contact details you entered, we reserve the right to get in touch with you using the address, telephone number or e-mail address you entered, before mailing the tickets. If we do not get in touch with you, Ticketmaster Norway will cancel your order without any notice. The tickets you ordered can then be sold to other customers.

Tickets will be mailed to the address you entered when buying your tickets.

Delivery of Tickets bought on Website and through our Call Centre

Deadline for payment on our website and through our call center is seven days before the event occurs. This is to make sure that Ticketmaster Norway will have enough time to deliver tickets by ordinary mail. Usually, tickets can be reserved for collecting until the moment the event starts. Tickets are also available through our direct sales channels.

Ticket limit per customer

The limitation on how many tickets a customer can buy depends on the event he is buying tickets for. The limit is published on the purchase page and is checked at every transaction. We do so to prevent misuse of our website.

Ticket Transfer

1.1 We offer “Ticket Transfer” functionality in respect of many events. You can use Ticket Transfer, where available, to transfer Tickets you have purchased to your friends and family by logging into your Ticketmaster account and following the instructions.

1.2 Ticket Transfer is intended to be used for transferring Tickets to friends and family; you should only transfer Tickets to people that you know and trust. If you wish to sell your Tickets to a third party as Resale Tickets and your Tickets are eligible, you may do so using the Ticket Exchange.

1.3 By using Ticket Transfer to transfer a Ticket you have purchased (or that you have been transferred by someone else using Ticket Transfer), you are only facilitating another person using that Ticket; the contract (and associated rights and obligations) for the purchase of that Ticket remains between us and you (or the original purchaser as the case may be), regardless of the number of times the Ticket is transferred using Ticket Transfer. However, all terms and conditions applicable to the use of a Ticket shall remain applicable to such Ticket, regardless of the number of times the Ticket is transferred using Ticket Transfer.

1.4 Ticket Transfer can only be used for Tickets and not for Upsells purchased with Tickets or any non-Ticket elements of Packages.

1.5 We may cancel any transferred Tickets if we have grounds to suspect that they were obtained fraudulently, unlawfully or otherwise in violation of this clause , or any other provisions of this Purchase Policy or any other applicable terms and conditions.

1.6 You can cancel a Ticket Transfer invitation but only if you do so before the recipient accepts your Ticket Transfer invitation.

1.7 IMPORTANT: Once a recipient accepts your Ticket Transfer invitation you will not be able to (i) use your original Ticket for event entry; (ii) cancel or otherwise get the transferred Ticket back (because the recipient will get a new Ticket with a new barcode); (iii) use our Fan Guarantee in relation to the Ticket (as described in “Fan Guarantee”); or (iv) list your Ticket as an Resale Ticket for resale on the Ticket Exchange. If a Ticket is transferred multiple times using Ticket Transfer, only the Ticket from the most recent Ticket Transfer will be valid for entry; all previous Ticket barcodes will be cancelled.

1.8 If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or materially altered, only the original purchaser of a transferred Ticket will be entitled to any refund or credit available (as described in “Purchase of tickets”). We will only deal with the original purchaser of a transferred Ticket in respect of all matters relating to the Ticket and the event for which it is issued. It is the responsibility of the original purchaser of a Ticket to keep all the recipients of any transferred Tickets updated with any information we provide to the original purchaser.

1.9 To the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability we may have in connection with a Ticket will only be owed to the original purchaser of the Ticket, and not to any recipient to whom that Ticket may have been transferred (whether using Ticket Transfer or otherwise).
