We get to know the siblings Gerda and Kai, who are visiting their grandmother. There, they learn the story of the Snow Queen before heading out into the forest to play. In the world of play, there are no limits, and when Kai becomes enchanted, Gerda sets off on an exciting adventure, encountering trolls and robbers, talking flowers, a prince and princess. Along the way, she makes many friends—and a few enemies—before finally coming face to face with the Snow Queen herself!
