About

The duo Garness (Ingelin Reigstad Norheim and Hildegunn Garnes Reigstad) is embarking on a release tour with their brand-new songs performed in their dialect. The twin sisters from Frekhaug near Bergen are multi-instrumentalists, offering a dynamic and exciting musical experience with a unique instrumental setup rarely seen before. Their songs are immediate, melodic, and rhythmically driven, set in an indie/folk-pop landscape. Through their music, the duo aims to inspire hope and joy. With a playful sparkle and their distinctive twin-stage chemistry, Garness invites you to an evening filled with inspiration!

Audiences attending a Garness concert can expect a warm and personal atmosphere from two seasoned performers who love to share their craft. Ingelin is an accomplished guitarist, playing both acoustic and electric guitars, while Hildegunn performs on her custom-built standing drum kit, keyboards, and an array of curious string and percussion instruments. Having worked together for over two decades, the duo is impeccably in sync and clearly enjoys being on stage together.

Garness has appeared on TV shows such as "I kveld", "Beat for Beat", "Absolutt Norsk", "Kjempesjansen", "God morgen Norge", "Håp i ei gryte", and "Jul på Slottet". They have collaborated with artists like Marit Larsen, Sigvart Dagsland, Jonas Alaska, and Odd Nordstoga. A major part of the Norwegian audience discovered them when they performed the traditional Christmas concert "Kvelden før kvelden" on NRK1 on December 23rd. Their critically acclaimed album "Barnet i krybben" has become a holiday favorite for many.

The duo has released several other albums, including two English-language folk/rock-inspired pop records. Their song "Mountaintop" was a regular feature on NRK P1 for 12 weeks. Recent projects include the Easter concert performance "Gåten om korset" and their work with the music collective "Lia Musikklag".
