About the Black Debate
Black Debbath is a prominent Norwegian heavy metal/hard rock group known for its unique mix of humorous and political lyrics. The band originates from the creative collective Duplex Records and consists of the talented members Lars Lønning, Egil Hegerberg, Aslag Guttormsgaard and Ole Petter Andreassen. These versatile artists have also impressed in projects such as Gartnerlojen, Hurra Torpedo, Bare Egil Band, Thulsa Doom, Maroder and El Doom & the Born Electric.
They started their musical journey with the debut album "Tung, tung politisch rock" in 1999, and since then they have created nine studio albums and a memorable compilation album. Their engaging contributions have also found their way to several recognized compilations. The band is known for delivering energetic live performances and has toured extensively.
During their career they have continued to impress with new material. The album "Now it's got to be rock! Academic stoner-rock!" was released on January 11, 2013, followed by the seventh album "Universell Riffsynsing" in January 2015. No later than October 26, 2018, they launched their eighth album with the apt title "Norsk Barsk Metal". With its unique blend of musical skill, political awareness and humour, Black Debbath has secured a well-deserved place in the Norwegian music scene.
