In March 2017, 17-year-old Annika Wedderkopp began sharing TikTok videos of herself playing original songs on her parents’ piano. Songs about the experiences of being a woman, heartbreak, desperation, and anger. The videos quickly garnered attention.
In February 2024, her debut single "Knuser Hjerter" was released, followed by her debut EP "Nye Tider" before the summer. The EP continued to showcase her promising talent and has to date, been streamed nearly 10 million times. Just as people thought they had figured out Annika and her sound, she turned everything on its head in early August with the release of the reggae-infused, Rihanna-inspired single "Så lenge jeg er sexy". The song shot straight into the Danish Top 10, peaking so far at #2.
