A wonderful and unique experience! My wife and I are music fans and we love cold, snowy landscapes. This festival provided for both needs and provided a unique experience. There were several magic moments, perhaps the most memorable on the Friday night, when it started to snow as the Trio medieval and Arve Hendrixson created a wonderful mix of plainsong and free jazz, the like of which we had never heard.
It was very well planned and every event was distinct from every other - from the types of music, the participants, the involvement of family on the saturday afternoon, to the weird and wonderful performance down on the frozen lake to the final in the the grand and imposing church.
A unique and highly recommended (providing you dress warmly!) experience.

unspeakably magical!!!i traveled across the world to this music festival based upon some performances i saw on youtube last summer! i knew no one who had been to it! and i had very little idea of what to expect... really.
now, less than one week after it is over i can look back and say that every moment was precious! every performance magical and inspiring! from the design of the outdoor amphitheater to the brilliance of the ice instruments themselves, to the brilliance ot the performers... i do not have the words to recommend this experience enough. having said that, this festival is not for everyone. sitting outside on the snow... in winter weather and temperatures... listening to ice music... might not be everybody's cup of tea! for my part, i can't wait to go back next year.

Nydelige kulisser og flott opplevelse i lett snødrev og minus 10 graderveldig spennende og flott med lys og trolsk stemning. Musikalsk var det vel så godt som det kan bli i slike omgivelser....

Good idea let down by poor organisationWe'd gone to Geillo specifically to see the festival and had bought a day pass. We were surprised that it was so small. We knew the headline events were at 8pm, 10pm and midnight but were really surprised to find that once these sets had finished (aprox 25 mins each) there was nothing else to do until the next set. The area closed, ostensibly to reset for the next act but for an hour and a half there was nothing. In fairness there was nothing advertised but we had assumed that there would be more of a festival aspect with at least a drinks venue to pass the time. The town of Geillo shuts at 9pm, with the tourist information office the only place left open. No provision was made for there being an event in town.
The music was great, and the concept is brilliant, but there was far too much dead air.
